Actual or volumetric weight: which one you pay for
Air freight is charged on whichever is greater: the actual weight or the volumetric weight. To work out the volumetric weight, multiply length × width × height in centimetres and divide by 6,000. A 60 × 40 × 40 cm box counts as 16 kg for pricing, even if the scales say 9. That’s why good packing saves you money too.
