Loading metres and pallets
On the road, space is measured in loading metres: how much of the trailer’s length your cargo takes up. A standard 13.6 m trailer takes 33 euro pallets on a single tier, and each euro pallet uses about 0.4 loading metres. That tells you whether your shipment should go groupage or needs a full truck.
