Cargo insurance
Insure your cargo for its real value, beyond what the carrier covers.
So the unexpected doesn’t turn into a loss.
However well everything is done, things can happen in transit. We help you insure your cargo so that, if something goes wrong, you’re covered for its real value, not the legal minimum.

What the carrier covers (and what it doesn’t)
International conventions limit how much a carrier has to pay out per kilo or per package, and those limits are often well below the value of the goods. They’re expressed in SDR (Special Drawing Rights), the International Monetary Fund’s unit of account.
- Air 26 SDR per kilo Montreal Convention, revised limit in force since 28 December 2024.
- Road 8.33 SDR per kilo CMR Convention, international carriage by road.
- Sea 666.67 SDR per package or 2 SDR per kilo Hague-Visby Rules, whichever is higher.
Types of cover
ICC (A) clauses

ICC (B) clauses
Named perils, covering more events than (C).
ICC (C) clauses
Basic cover against major risks. It’s the minimum CIF requires.
